Handibear Hills Horse Sanctuary adopts and cares
for abandoned horses, using
them to teach horsemanship and stable management to adults and
Handibear Hills has been pursuing these objectives for 30 years, and currently has a 21 stall barn with paddocks. There are 27 horses and ponies in residence this year. This charity is used as an outreach program to individuals
who would benefit
from the leadership and life skills that can be acquired through
discipline of caring for horses and ponies.
